Texans hanging around a certain gas station in the state capital might be met with opera music blaring throughout the parking lot. Though it seems to be an interesting choice for a convenience store's background music, it's actually entirely intentional.

The owner of a 7-Eleven in South Austin, TX, Jagat Patel, told KVUE he has been playing non-stop opera tunes loudly in an effort to deter loiterers, homeless people and anyone who messes with his property.

Off The Top: A 7-Eleven outpost in southwestern Ontario has become the first in the province to receive a liquor licence, opening the door for romantic dates (or lonely dinners) at the mecca of convenience. One can only imagine what the people of Leamington must feel about being viewed as the logical entry market for such a service.

7-Eleven Canada will soon begin serving legal-aged customers alcohol and food in a dining area at one of its Ontario locations.

According to the press release posted on Friday, the store, located at 138 Erie Street in Leamington, recently became the first 7-Eleven in the province to secure a liquor sales license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

7-Eleven fans rejoice! The much-loved convenience store has expanded several stores in Alberta and they now include licensed dine-in areas where you can crack open a cold beer with your food.

The new Alberta expanded stores include four in Edmonton, and stores in Rocky Mountain, Leduc and Fort McMurray.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson says he has finally righted a wrong from his youth and it has to do with Snickers chocolate bars and a 7-Eleven.

In an Instagram video, Johnson admitted to stealing chocolate bars from a 7-Eleven in Hawaii back when he was a teen and so he recently went back to the same location and bought every Snickers bar inside the store.
