MuchMusic Is Making A Comeback On TikTok & Gen Zers Won’t Know What Hit Them

This is not a drill, millennials! MuchMusic is making a comeback but it's going to look a lot different than it did in 2004.
A reimagined MuchMusic is returning on July 7 with new VJs and creators gracing your phone screen instead of your TV screen.

TikTok will be the new home to iconic series from back in the day like Video on Trial, Intimate and Interactive and MuchMusic Spotlight, and the new MuchMusic will also include live performances, artist-hosted events and more.
While some content will only be on TikTok, some will be available on other social media platforms as well.
"MuchMusic has played an essential part in shaping the musical landscape for generations," Adam Burchill, TikTok Canada's head of music said in the announcement. "Today, TikTok is redefining the way that fans discover and engage with their favourite music and artists, and I'm excited for our platform to bring MuchMusic to a new generation of fans not just in Canada, but around the world."
